Chocolate’n’Waffles turns 4! Happy 2020!

Slightly late as it was on the 1st, but I am God around here!

I can’t believe it’s been four years. I was at my lowest, riddled with depression, bored to death, thinking good days would never come back, when I made the decision to create this blog. Boy, I had no idea this step would lead me to this moment.

Four years later, I still have bad days, but blogging has help me find my way back to good days too. I have read some of the most amazing books and met the best people. I have watched drama happen from afar, I have fangirled. I have attended festivals. I graduated uni with a Publishing degree. I have doubted my reviews. I have drank false champagne. I have moved to London. I have received and bought enough books to open a little shop. I have laughed and cried. I have enjoyed it all.

Thank you to the blogging community for the book love. Thank you to you, reading this, for the kindness, the comments or likes. Thank you to my tribe for being the best. Thank you to the publicists, publishers, authors, and everyone who has trusted me with their work. You make this journey richer.

I breathe books, and I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for Chocolate’n’Waffles!

  1. Thankyou for being here my darling Meggy and thankyou for always being my Ray of sunshine amongst the clouds! You are an incredible person, a fantastic friend and a brilliant blogger! Here’s to the next 4 years! Xxx

  2. That is quite a journey over the 4 years. You have achieved so much and came so far, with lots of good and probably some not so good memories. ( would be weird to have no bad ones).
I remember the Donna times and when I first posted you a book you won from a competition I hosted. It seems like ages ago.
I hope the next years will be more amazing journeys for you Meggy.
    Amanda xx

    1. Yeah, bad memories make you appreciate the good things more 🙂
Haha, gosh, my oldest friend still calls me Donna, but it’s true it has disappeared here. I had almost forgotten about it!
Here’s to many more great books, blogging, and to our friendship xxx
