A Frenchie in … France: The End of the Chapter

Happy Sunday everyone! If you are lucky, you are not melting under the sun and being woken up by flies when napping…

My life in London ended abruptly the day after my last weekly wrap-up. I won’t go into details but family matters called me back so here I am, in Bordeaux.

I am sorry I have been too busy to check out blogs or be much active on social media. I had to deal with lots of things and make peace with how I felt about leaving two weeks early. I still don’t know how I feel about everything but time will tell.

I do believe I did the right thing. When accidents happen, you choose family first.

I am lucky to have a boss who understands the situation I am in and allows me to work from home, so no worries, I am keeping my Orenda Fairy tiara and my intern title πŸ™‚

I am thankful for the people I’ve met, the things I’ve seen and eaten and felt. I hope I will get another chance at experiencing life in London, not just as a holidaymaker.

I don’t see this as missing opportunities, this was the way it was supposed to go, so I’m moving with the flow. I am sad about Harrogate but will see everyone at Bloody Scotland (thank you for your tips! I managed to get accommodation and flights in one day, although my return might … not work and I’ll get stuck in Scotland!!!)

Enough has happened to make me happy. I miss my English family but … I will be back!

In the meantime, let’s resume reviewing (although I feel I’ve lost the mojo) and reading! Lots of reading to do!

  1. I hope everything is ok. It’s sad you had to cut your time in London short, but as you say, family first. And I’m very glad you’re getting to go to Scotland (I’m sure you won’t get stuck there!) xx

  2. Family comes first sweetheart, and London will still be there for you to return to 😘

  3. I only just saw this Meggy. I was thinking you were still having fun in London. I’m sorry your trip wasn’t as long as you had planned but life has other plans sometimes. I’m happy you think you made the right decisions so no regrets. You have such an orenda bond now, they won’t be able to get rid of you. 😘
    Sending you good vibes.
