The Positivity Wave

Happy Friday #ThePositivityWave n°81

Welcome to today’s positivity wave! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic woman and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

  • Waking up without an alarm.
  • A new version of Love Story, Taylor’s Version! (Yes, I have been singing it all day)
  • Reorganizing my shelves so I get more room! But I did keep the rainbow, I can’t get enough of it!
  • A hot mug of tea after a walk in the rain.
  • A nice time in Bordeaux…
No, that’s not me!
  • The moment you realize you and your best friend did the same thing without knowing. BFF goals.
  • Seeing friends succeed and being there to applaud and support them the best I can.
  • Getting my bangs trimmed!

  • Great chats with lovely people. Funny how I have never felt more connected than during this pandemic…!
  • The feeling that you can handle unexpected news. You know, when something jumps out at you when you least expect it and it unearths lots of feelings? Well that’s me today. My mind, emotions, and body are reacting, but I know I can manage.
  • Did I mention Taylor’s new song version???
  • Phone calls from Sweden 💕

That’s it for this week. Be kind, stay safe, and read books!

Meggy xx

  1. Ha! I too have been listening to Taylor Swift all morning, I love this one and can’t wait for the next album. And I would swap you the rain for our cold any day, thanks! 😉 Have a great weekend!

  2. Wow, some great things happening in your life Meggy. I am looking forward to being able to get my hair cut. Always great to be able to keep in touch with friends. Have a great week coming up.

  3. This is a bit random, but when you wrote, “My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life,” I was reminded of the end of Mockingjay Pt 2, of The Hunger Games movie. Katniss tells her little infant that when she has nightmares, she makes a list in her head of all the good things she’s seen people do. I just watched those movies for the first time this past week–yeah, I know I’m a little late on this one–but it struck me that you and Katniss are doing a similar thing, one that we can all benefit from doing.

  4. The photo of the lady in Bordeaux looks so French to me. It looks lovely.
I will have to listen to some more Taylor Swift now.
Well done on managing the unexpected.
My positive moments include more buddy reads with great discussions.
Getting my first creme egg of the year. Yum!
Treats to myself ( I got new crafty things from alli express and you never know how the quality will be, but they were good).
Hope you have a nice weekend Meggy.
    Amanda xx
