Happy hump day, everyone!
I have a special request today… A last-minute, impossible mission that only book bloggers can make happen.
You might already know it, but on Thursday 21st November 2019, Victoria Selman’s latest novel is getting released! 🥳🥳
I was lucky to meet Victoria during Capital Crime, and I am guilty of having immortalized her amazing performance during the great quizz… If you missed it, go check my Twitter feed!
Anyway, when I came back from the festival, I listened to the first book in the series, Blood for Blood, in which I met her main protagonist Ziba MacKenzie. I really loved the research and heart the author put into her novel. On top of being a hilarious and sweet woman, Victoria is a talented author.
One drunk night on Twitter, not long ago at all, I thought about a Twitter party to celebrate Victoria’s third book and show her that the vibe she received during the festival was not just stuck in our memories of those days, but carried on in our everyday life. We bloggers do love supporting our authors, don’t we?
I want Victoria to have a fantastic day, therefore I have planned a few things *mysterious look*
Now, I could do this on my own and make a tiny ripple but… I am officially asking the blogging army if they could help me!
I NEED YOU!
We’ve all heard how scary it is for authors to reach publication day, therefore, with weapons such as tweets and visuals, I’m hoping to turn Thursday into a teenager party without the booze, haha!
If you’ve met Victoria, if you’ve enjoyed her novel, and/or if you want to give us a hand in making this day a great one, you can share the banner below today (Wednesday 20th November) ⇩⇩⇩
I’ve also created a visual for publication day (Thursday 21st November), I would LOVE IT if we could get the title and picture trending to thank Thomas & Mercer for publishing this series!
Now, I know it takes time (Writing a tweet, adding the right hashtag #snakesandladders, tagging @Victoriaselman and @choconwaffles (me!) and adding the picture), so anything you can do would be HUGELY appreciated! Even an RT! *gives her best Colgate smile*
I have concocted several giveaways, Victoria has exclusive content to share with us, and if I can make my brain work, we will also have games to thank you all for your support. Basically, I’ll be online all day shouting about Snakes and Ladders, and I’d love for you to join me ❤️
A little bit about the book…
Psycho meets Silence of the Lambs
One killer on the loose. Another setting the rules. A profiler caught in the middle.
A serial killer is terrorising London, removing a body part from each victim and leaving in its place a single pink rose.
Dr Vernon Sange, a multiple murderer awaiting extradition, seems to know the culprit’s identity– but he’ll only talk to profiler Ziba MacKenzie, the woman responsible for putting him away. Though there’s something he wants in return from her. And time is running out.
With one killer whispering in her ear and another running rings around the police, Ziba must play a game in which only her opponent knows the rules and the forfeit is death.“Ziba MacKenzie is tough, smart and funny—I loved her!” —M. W. Craven, author of The Puppet Show
So, are you ready to play with a serial killer? 😃
Just given you a twitter shout out for this.

Terribly late for the twitter party but I have retweeted this. That blurb has me curious about this book. I love a good serial killer thriller and this one sounds perfect!
