Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- The smile of elderly people when you spend time with them. I love volunteering!
- Days when I wake up happy.
- Fighting the heat with Game of Thrones’ winter.
- Bathing the dogs and having a great and messy time! (no pictures, I was too busy trying to keep them in the tub!!!)
- BBQ! Duck is everything!
- A nice breeze in the morning.
- Getting a copy of my second most anticipated read of the year.
- A new favorite song to annoy the neighbors with!
- Strawberries and cream!
- New episodes of Suits!!!!
What’s made YOU happy this week?

I love that you’re volunteering with the elderly💜 They are so, so grateful.
I do remember the fun (and messiness) of bathing dogs. My pup used to hate it but he was so funny.
Love your week and hope the heat abates, Meggy💕

I receive more than I get at the Alzheimer centre, it really is fantastic ❤
My favorite moment is when I release the dogs and they start running everywhere as if they were possessed!
Thank you for your support, for keeping the wave going, and for the love! xxx

ooooh, what is the second most anticipated read of the year? Which of course leads to the question, what is the most anticipated one?

The first one was Sång by Johana Gustawsson (always the French version first) and the second was The Family by Louise Jensen! Both are amazing!

Suits, strawberries, best books and smiles. Perfect blend of things for happy waves. I like that you can wake up happy sometimes. This is something to really be appreciated and acknowledged.
Well I think I should add Suits to my happy moments too. Also reading loads!!! For me this is the biggest reading sprint ever I think! And mostly all fab books.
Walking by the water taking deep self care breathes.
A special breakfast of a double egg soft yolks roll. Yum!
Going to a crafty cafe and meeting other creative ladies.
Thanks for the wave Meggy.

I often notice it when I wake up in a bad mood, so I wanted to remember mornings that start well instead 🙂
I’m so glad you get to read more! And it’s even better when they’re great books!
I long for walks by the water! The air is so pure and calming. Nothing like living in a busy city!
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Cake any day!
I love that you are nurturing your creativity ❤ Thank you, darling Amanda xxx

Ahhh I’m so jealous you got a copy of The Family! This is the first time I won’t be able to read her book early and I’m so sad… I’m going to preorder a copy though so I can read it as soon as it’s published (well, two weeks after as BD orders take that long to arrive). 😉 Also, I wish strawberries were in season right now! I could eat those all day long haha. Have a wonderful weekend! ❤ xx

Does reading a book that makes me cry count? Oh MY! “The Women of Copper Country” by Mary Doria Russell. Watch out for my review (probably on Friday)!
