Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!
- A blue sky in the south, a blue sky in the north… Back to my own Winterfell and it felt good.
- Watching extra-scary true crime shows on TV. I’m glad my nightmares only involve elevators, and not serial killers!
- Being quoted on Amazon and social media for a book I love!
- Hugs from Twitter.
- Mastering the /pul/ VS /pʊl/ sounds. Bring it on, American native speakers! 🤣
- Singing at 2am in English…
- …Watching Japanese TV shows at 4am!
- Putting my special Orenda red on my nails to stop me from biting them. I can’t believe I bought this nail polish in London a year ago!
- Being on the same page as one of your closest friend, and imagining a future where dreams go above and beyond.
- Blogging time! I haven’t replied to all pending comments yet, but I’m getting there!
- READING! I had missed reading after a whole week with no page turned…
- A big reunion with my baby!

Nothing exciting apart from rain. I love nice cool weather that comes with monsoon after deadly heat of summer. It feels good reading book while it’s raining.
Hopefully next week will be peaceful.

Oh, my gosh, Meggy, did you watched “Boys over Flowers?” That was my all-time favorite TV shows!!! It lasted two seasons and almost everybody went crazy about it! It was a huuuuuuuuge hit here in Japan!

Yes!!! I couldn’t get enough of it!
I studied Japanese at uni, then went to live in Kyoto 🙂 I was fluent but lost most of my abilities when I got sick and lost opportunities to talk with people in Japanese. I fell in love with the language when watching 魔女裁判!

Blue skies are always welcome where I am especially as it’s been mostly gray up here in the Yorkshire Dales. Glad you found some happy moments xx

I love the photo of you and Yuki? Iris?
We have matching nails this week. As it is holiday time for me, I painted my finger and toe nails red. Love them!
Also love love your quote that’s on Amazon. It’s so worthy of quoting too. If you said that about my book I would tell everyone too. Big compliments to you and the author.
What were you trying to say in an American accent?? Pul??
I’m excited for you for your dreams of the future 😁.
My happy moments include:
1. Waking up when I want to without an alarm clock.
2. Long walks by the water.
3. Finding my town mentioned in a book I love.
4. Eating a peshwari nan bread! I hadn’t had one in ages and it was delicious.
5. Finding a bargain craft magazine subscription trial. 5 issues for £5!!! I hope it’s good.
I will be finding my positivity without my pupils for these few weeks. But I do love having long summer holidays.
Thanks for the positive waves Meggy xx

Thank you! I wasn’t expecting to be quoted, so it was a wonderful surprise!
My town will never be mentioned in a book, haha, but I love that yours makes an appearance!
I have no idea what a peshwari nan bread is!
Summers are here to let you take care of yourself so you can keep taking such good care of your pupils ❤ Thank you so much again this week, Amanda, I always wait for your positivity ❤
