The Positivity Wave

Happy Friday! #ThePositivityWave 11

Even bad weeks have their moments… Let’s focus on that!

Welcome to today’s Happy Friday! My remedy against feeling down is to make a list of all the good things in my life. It can be anything. Really, anything. The smallest gesture from a stranger can change your day, if you open your eyes. Now, I am a pessimistic and I need daily reminders to look for the bright side. Maybe you are too, or maybe the state of our world is weighing on you. In any case, here’s your shot at some happy things!

The POsitivity wave without c`

Now before I start with this week’s happy moments, I would like to thank everyone who has sent me a message, a tweet, a comment. Your support is a huge help and even though I’m still reeling from recent events, your support makes everything more bearable. Thank you ❤️

What has made me happy this week?

  • A big Burger King order! No, I didn’t eat it all on my own (although I totally could have, haha!)

  • Visiting my old neighborhood in Bordeaux. It felt nice to walk the streets I’ve passed every day for a long time. I love Bordeaux!

  • Finding a brilliant book in Bordeaux’s secondhand bookstore!

  • Getting love from online friends. Priceless. Essential. I am hugging you all in my mind now! (if you don’t like hugs, too bad!)
  • Playing doll with Iris. What? She’s my baby, I am allowed to!

  • Taking another step towards my goal to go back to all things basic and natural! Bye my beautiful red hair. Welcome back, natural color!
  • Getting the electricity back. There is no fun in not being able to eat warm food, take a shower, or put the kettle on!
  • Doctor Who on TV. Always (even if this was season 1. Nine is a great doctor)

  • Talking about Doctor Who, I forgot to add a gif of my favorite Doctor in my 10th Positivity Wave post! Here we go!

    1. Nothing could have made me happier today. I admit I started this feature for myself as I needed a place to gather good things happening instead of focusing on the bad stuff, so I’ve been really surprised by the warm welcome those posts have received. I am happy if they can help a tiny bit. Remember, you are wonderful 🙂 x

  1. I’m so happy you got your electricity back!! I’ve never seen Doctor Who (or Game of Thrones).. I guess I have a lot to catch up on ;-). Oh and I love both looks on you really. The only colour that wouldn’t suit you would be blonde I think :-). I can’t imagine ever going back to my original color (dark blonde/brown) after more than 20 years of light blonde. I’m so happy to see you still found so many positive things to share this week!!

    1. I gave up on Game of Thrones, although I did watch a bit last night in French with my mom (not the best show to watch with your parents xD) but Doctor Who is foreveeeeer!!!
I did try have a blond phase… I’m not showing you, haha! Thank you ❤️ I’m really happy I made the change.
I wasn’t sure about posting this week, and most of those happy moments occurred before Wednesday, but I didn’t want to only remember this week by its awful stuff. I hope you have a fabulous week xxx

  2. Hey there 🙂 Hope you are doing ok!
What a lovely post again ❤
I really like your hair with the darker color. I totally suck at knowing what hair color would suit people, but just looking at the two pictures side by side, this darker shade really brings out your skintone and complements it really well!

That was a great find in the second hand shop!

    1. ❤️ Hi fabulous! This week’s post is special because it was more difficult 🙂 But I’m glad I posted.
Thank you! I agree with you about my hair. This natural color really suits me better, but they say our twenties are for experiments and I really loved that phase 🙂
We have so little choice in books in English here that I almost screamed in glee when I saw the book, haha! x

  3. I love reading your positivity posts each week, it always makes me think back on my own week and what positives I’ve had. I think my biggest positive of this week was getting to sit in my garden for an hour to read a great book. I hope you’re doing as okay as you can be. Hugs and love xx

I love a good burger king. I don’t get one often as it’s not that close. But it is delicious.

2 . Sports day in school when I met my pupils gran and she said she was VERY pleased to meet me and thought it was lovely to see the relationship I have with her grandson.
    3. Crafting. I am thankful i have a hobby I enjoy.

    1. I wasn’t sure I would do it but I had started the list earlier this week, and I didn’t want to let the big bad thing win, so here we are 🙂
I couldn’t be happier for you and the children. It really made me feel so excited for you when you told me. I’m glad life isn’t always a bitch. I am in awe of the relationship you have created with your kids and so glad about this gran 🙂
You’re immensely good at crafting, I’m jealous, haha!
Have a lovely week, my wonderful friend xx

  5. Wonderful to hear your week wasn’t all bad… The positive is even more important when things aren’t as great! Consider this an open order of positive vibes, hugs and puppies to be sent your way whenever you need it. Oh, and chocolate of course. ❤ ❤ ❤ xx
