Summer rhymes with fun, so does sun! Okay, I should stay away from the outdoors and get to the point! It’s time for a new Suntag! I was nominated by the ever lovely/talented/funny Orang-Utan Librarian and if you haven’t been there yet, you deserve a little slap on the hand! You’re missing out on amazing discussion posts, fabulous reviews that make me jealous (I wish I could analyze stories the way you do!!) and general awesomeness!

#1 Name a cartoon you like!

Is an anime considered a cartoon? If yes… I can sing you the opening of Card Captor Sakura both in French and in English!!! This anime was the only thing I would not miss every week on TV when I was a kid, and I almost cried when my Japanese studies gave me the perfect excuse to rewatch everything in its original version!

If you mean real cartoon, I’m going with my second favorite as my number one (The Incredibles) was used in a previous tag!

Yep. Watching in on my birthday and singing at the top of my lungs!!!

#2 What is your favorite song right now?

The entire new album from James Blunt. I’m not even kidding.

Remember when I thought I was a monster because Me Before You did not make me cry or even tear up? Well, the movie was not bad, and this song…. THIS SONG!!!

#3 What could you do for hours that is not reading?

Binge-watching TV shows. Old ones when I feel nostalgic (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), idealistic favorites (The Newsroom), feel-good vibes (Gilmore Girls), the perfect fangirling one (Suits), anything with Naomi Watts in it…

#4 What is something you love to do that your followers would be surprised to know?

Is it me or do the questions get harder as we go??

I love watching Rugby whenever Morgan Parra is playing! :p

I like the game but I only ever watch when France is playing because my heart wouldn’t survive! I get all excited and I shout like a possessed woman.

#5 What is your favorite unnecessary specific thing to learn about?

I don’t believe any learning is unnecessary so I can’t really answer this one! Everything we learn has its value.

#6 What is something unusual that you know how to do?

Baking waffles with Rum?

#8 What is your most recent personal project?

Finding the internships needed for my publishing degree. One with a publisher, one in a bookstore. 10 weeks are mandatory, more is a plus. We don’t have to work on it before the beginning of classes in September but I intend on finding the best ones I can so I’m already working on it.

#9 Tell us something that you think about often.

I’d be easier to tell you something I DON’T think about! For the sake of the question, I’ll say our place in the world and the impact an individual or a movement can have.

#10 Give us something that is your favorite, but make it oddly specific.

I love the moment just before I fall asleep. I can feel myself drifting away, the voice of my relaxation recording slowly fades away, my body is completely relaxed, and I get the only few hours of sleep I can manage, usually 3.

  2. Girl, ALL the love for the Newsroom. That show was so widely underappreciated while I freaked out with how perfect it was with every new episode. It IS super idealistic, but I don’t see anything wrong with that. I can still believe in everyday heroes 😉

    1. GG forever 😀 Thank you my Sweechie!! I *might* *probably* *won’t believe it until the paperwork is done* already have one *fingers crossed* Now I have to think of the bookstore one. The uni said we did not have to get them for September but two of the other students do and … It makes me a little panicky!

  10. You are right there are lots of strange and unexpected things that you can do, writing Japanese is the first that springs to my mind.
    Your internships are going to be so amazing.

    1. 🙂 This really struck you, right? I remember how proud I was the first times I got my Japanese writing right, it was a great moment! I am really hoping to get the internships I have in mind, fingers crossed! Some future fellow students already have both, while I only have found mine in publishing, not in a bookstore, but the lady at uni said we did not have to get all prepared before September so.. Trying not to worry!

      1. Yes, I am so impressed that you can write Japanese. It looks so difficult. I lived in Thailand for 2 years and although I picked up a little of the language, the writing was just too difficult. It will be fabulous to intern in a publishers and a bookshop. Just a month left!! 😉 xx

        1. It’s only an impression 🙂 Once you’ve learned the rules, all you have to do is memorize. Okay, some are tricky and look so alike! But most of them are okay 🙂 Except if like me, you stop practicing… Then you lose them all very quickly 😦 Oh, Thailand must have been a great place to live, I always see wonderful pictures of the country. I can’t believe I’m starting in a month. It still feels like a dream, but I know I’ll soon start worrying a little 🙂 xxx

  16. I want more suntags by you! But no more Frozen because yes now I’m stuck with it… it’s the second worst tune playing in my head after ‘It’s a small world after all’ that I heard a thousand times in one of the attractions in Disneyland years ago and can still recall now. So excited about the internships, you’re going to be working with a publisher and in bookstore? How cool is that! Wow.. this is going to be the best year in your life!

    1. Oh, August is your month then! :p *evil laugh* Don’t fight it, sing it!!!! Yep, as it’s a very comprehensive program, we need to get experience in both bookstores and publishing, this is amazing! I have no idea how I’m gonna fit everything in my weeks, but we’ll see when the time is here! I hope soooo!!! ❤

  17. Great answers for this tag Meggy, waffles with rum sound very yummy. I mean, I’m not a massive fan of rum because I can’t drunk alcohol but I am a huge fan of waffles. 🙂
    Also good luck with your internships, when I was at uni finding them was the part of the course I hated the most, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it when you have them and you’re actually interning at the places. Again that’s what I found when I was at uni. 😀

    1. I don’t drink alcohol either, but the baking makes most of it disappear, only to leave the nice taste :p

    I wish I was in France so you could invite me over, make me rum waffles and we can binge watch Suits! 😀
    I’d pass on Frozen tho.. I have an allergic reaction to it 😀 A couple of my male colleagues have young girls at home and when the graze was ongoing, they always hummed the song whenever there was a coffee break during meetings… gosh 😀

      Haha, I resisted for two years and only watched Frozen after everybody else, but I really fell for it, don’t ask me why, I have no idea!! Could it be Anna’s red hair?? :p
