Launching the #OrendaMonth on chocolatenwaffles!! #PublisherSpotlight @OrendaBooks

When you have been blogging for a while and have witnessed firsthand amazing ideas being brought to the community, you want to give it a try too. Now, I don’t claim to be good enough or very creative to come up with something that is going to blow your mind, but I thought maybe there was a little special feature that I could try and share, for the sake of stepping out of my comfort zone again and taking my blog on a fun stroll.

I hereby officially introduce introduce you to the Orenda Books Month!

First things first… What is this Orenda Month?

Well, I like Twitter a lot. It’s a fantastic treasure box when you can’t sleep and need to chat or just find useful (or useless, depending on your mood) posts to occupy your mind while the rest of the country is snoring. Sometimes you get to meet brilliant people there. I had lots of nice discussions, pep talks, stalking sessions and wrote begging tweets to get the next book in a series. We blogger use it to share and talk about our bookish discoveries, but also to interact with the people who are first in line when our reviews are published: authors and publishers. Now I’m babbling…

Let’s cut it short and say I have had a couple of Orenda Books in my Kindle since November, and I was tired of putting them off because of ARCs. I thought it would be funny to just pick them and focus on one publisher for the time of two stories. It turned out Karen, the wonderful person behind Orenda Books, was around and we got to chat about it. The term “marathon” came out of my mouth, or rather out of my fingers. You’ll never find me run any real marathon but I had realized while many readers follow an author or a series, I had never seen a blog give its full time and energy to a single publisher for an entire month.

There I was. I had two books, a Twitter chat, and the urge to find out if Orenda Books had more books that would make me fall for them as A Suitable Lie had done in November 2016.

Two weeks later, thanks to Karen’s reactivity, sweetness and professionalism, and some other weird ideas, we are launching a fun month during which I will exclusively be reading Orenda Books stories. So this is a real Publisher Spotlight! 

What is Orenda Books?

If you’ve been hiding under a rock and haven’t heard of them before, we forgive you and this month is to let you know of a new publisher you can love! Orenda Books is an independent publishing company which focuses on stories which deserve to be read and their love for translated work is one of the best thing about them!

Of course, what’s the point in my reading If I don’t involve my fellow blogger friends? I mean, I want this to be fun. I am lucky to have amazing people interacting on my reviews and fingers crossed, we’ll have a lot to say about the upcoming posts! I’ll also get my first stab at hosting giveaways (this is the scariest part for me!!) and awesome content to share so we can all learn more about Orenda Books and the people behind it.

Because Orenda Books has a lot of different authors and stories, I’ll also try and read more books than I usually do. I have planned my month so I can spend as much time as possible devouring pages instead of adulting!
